I've been DJing since the 90s and I've never stopped loving the golden age of hip hop. The 80s and 90s built my ear - the breaks, the samples, the crate digging, the block party energy. Somewhere along the way the tempo went up and the four-to-the-floor took over, and now most of my sets live in house and tech house. Rolling basslines, hypnotic grooves, and just enough of that old-school swing underneath. Expect deep cuts, proper mixing, and a healthy respect for where all of this came from.
