Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, hip-hop has been in my blood since day one. Growing up, I stayed glued to my older brother’s tape collection—Spice 1, NWA, 2Pac, Twista, UGK, Biggie—soaking in every beat and every bar. By 5th grade, I was writing my own lyrics, recording late-night mixes from 106 Jams, and flipping cassette tapes to capture B-sides.

At 18, I started recording my homies rapping in my mom’s basement, learning the craft from the ground up. By 21, I knew production was my lane, diving deep into the art—studying how styles evolved, how beats hit, and how storytelling shapes sound.

Now, I’m DJing as DJ Soopa Man on the weekends, crafting my own unique production style, and building music that blends classic and modern hip-hop influences. Every track, every mix, every beat—it's a reflection of the journey.
