I'm a hardcore, hard dance and DnB fan that listens to a lot of forms of rave. since 2015 I've been listening to much tribal/tech/latin house. I love prog but prefer the older beatier tribal and prog. I'm open to a lot of dance flavours. without any practise in meditation music can be the novice meditators meditation. Music has a profound effect on my mental health and anyone who loves music (even if they're a senior yoga instructor) gets healing from music. I'm an atheist myself but each to their own, I see the human spirit as active in doing what you love whether that be art, music making, music listening or sex for that matter. 95% of people are well meaning but I yearn for a time when there's no class just human brotherly and sisterly love. workers of the world unite you have nothing to lose but your chains.
