I'd brought a 1st song, amp; a borrowed bass guitar; to a poetry venue taken over for the afternoon by auditions for some mighty new Festival. 18 yo Dane Certificate & Adam (No) Gooderham were auditioning their brief 3-piece Epsilon Party (with one absentee as the Epsilon Party bass player, a Psych Nurse as working a needed last minute unexpected shift). They kept swapping instruments, had me up to do my 1 minute 1st tune ("Savage..."); my 20 year break from music; lugging a Double Bass on & off trams was now both collaborative & amplified. We even rehearsed. I booked Birdland Recording Studios at mates rates via a housemate with nasty polecat habits but a loose bass if you pay to repair (previous bass borrowers) The Hard-Ons wear & hard-living. Just a few days with his protege producer 6 weeks after fixing my equipment Hard-On speed-hump. I was about 4 to 1 to win my 1st New Art (Poetry) Grant
