Dig! Archives: When we started in 1985 we made flyers from letraset,) recorded stuff onto C90 cassettes and vinyl was the only format for DJ’s. Whilst we were very slack about everything except music quality, booze and jazz woodbines we were fortunate enough to have Ace sound engineer Martin Dixon at the Underground who taped every band we did to cassette. He is kindly digitising them for our aural edification.

THE DIG! FAMILY
From 1985 to 2001, the Dig! Family were the main force in Leeds for promoting jazzdance/soul/funk/latin/Brasilian beats/acid jazz, be it clubnights, big concerts, big festivals, radio shows or record releases. At their peak, they had regular nights in the North East, Manchester and London

In December 2001, the DIG! Family went their separate ways to pursue other projects .
