Enjoy music mixes from the Salvo's Jukebox!
Groovy music from the Italian peninsula, jazz funk AOR and disco along with soul, boogie and latin flavours
Salvo's is a restaurant in Leeds UK with a rich musical heritage. The founder Salvo had the legendary Blue Gardenia cafe in the 60's, a mod haunt with live appearances from the likes of Long John Baldry, Joe Cocker, 4 tops and Rod Stewart. In the 80's and 90's the family owned The Coconut Grove renamed the Gallery in the 90's. It was the epicentre of the burgeoning new 90's jazz scene in the North. Renamed the Gallery, it became a mecca for clubbers worldwide with club night like Back to Basics and Up Yer Ronson.
The Salvo's famiglia are still music collectors and DJ's so carefully curate the music played in the restaurant.
The mixes will also include some classic 60's Italian beat, popera, easy listening and anything else we like to play. Please enjoy - Buon appetito!
