In his youth, Garrett was influenced by many styles of music ranging from hardcore and punk to classical, to all different types of world and ethnic music.
He made many simple mix tapes where he selected song orders to create a progressive mood and then crudely crossfaded the transitions.
Garrett’s first interests in DJing came from his exposure to DJ Dean’s Tunnel Trance Force series, happy hardcore, drum n bass, and hardcore techno of the mid-late 90s.
From there Garrett began DJing with vinyl and branched into many different styles: trance, progressive house and trance, Florida breaks, happy hardcore, hard house, techno, and drum n bass.
He recorded mixes monthly (you can check out some of these “oldies” on his sound cloud page!) and began networking with other local Djs and producers.
Eventually some promoters got their hands on Garrett’s mixes and he started making guest appearances at clubs.
He performed at numerous clubs and holiday events including Gotham, Vibe,
