I can remember spending time watching the DJ’s in 1988, spinning vinyl, mixing, and thinking I’d love to do that! So I invested in a set of 1210’s and I was hooked. I got my first DJ break by accident, after meeting a DJ promoter at a rave in Kent in 1991. After a few phone calls he arranged a set at a beach party after World Dance. I eventually got to play at 2pm the next afternoon, but what happened next was the start of my journey. I got on the decks, everyone was laying on the beach, chilling, about 250 people left, I dropped my first tune and people started getting up and dancing, after 2 tracks Everson Alan from RatPack decides to get on the mic, and that was it for the next hour, it was unreal. Well, after my set, I got offered my first residency at Ki Ki’s in Margate (with my DJ partner, DJ Signs), alongside Richie Fingers and a few other residents. It was a great success and it all went from there, playing at various raves and clubs across the country, I was completely hooked.
