His compilations were praised by Gilles Peterson, his edits were selected by Erol Alkan and he produced shows of Sun Ra Arkestra or Brian Jackson (partner of Gil Scott- Heron), but when he carries his magic boxes with seven inches, Eduardo Morais challenges listeners with the unpopular past from the Soul of the 60s/70s — whether American or Turkish — to the 80s synthesized music — in a sort of border jump-roping on the Mediterranean area — between the rhythmic European Psychedelia and obscurities of synthesized Portuguese music, dialoguing with the dances of the Arabic-speaking Countries.
A resident DJ in Istanbul’s Root Radio, Eduardo is also a music documentarist and writer who has played records in more than forty cities over the last fifteen years.
