The Dutty Discotheque is a tropical tardis of super heavy funk which travels far and wide to spread it’s sweaty blend of dutty disco, hip-pop and Bahama baselines.
Our four resident DJs came together after becoming jaded by playing too many nights with sticky floors, identikit house music and little else. Their vision was for a night full of colour, carnival atmosphere, inflatable bananas and most importantly fun music! Thus the Dutty Discotheque was born.
Expect a blend of Afrobeat, soul, bashment and rare disco gems. We play anything that has funk, strut and soul from all ages and genres.
We put on regular parties at different venues across London in venues such as The Old Queens Head, Islington, The Old Blue Last, Shoreditch and Canavans, Peckham. Check out our Facebook page for upcoming events.
