Beginning in 2005, DJ Maximum Shine began his musical journey as a radio deejay/producer with 'Music fo' Grown Fo'ks', the long running free-format soul radio show at WKDU 91.7FM Philadelphia. Every week he would introduce the tri-state area to a whole new bag of tunes & artists get left in the cold by major radio channels, trace the roots of today's Soul through its history, countdown the show's top songs of the week, and help his audience fall in-love with this emotionally complex music; plus, spinning those songs you forgot you really wanted to hear.

Since wrapping MFGF on it's 5 year anniversary, DJ Maximum Shine has been spinning killer beats, across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia. Testing new sounds on ferocious houseparty audiences, co-creating the only C&W party in Philadelphia (Singin' It Lonesome!: 2009-11), playing marathon underground all-nighters, and winning over & getting the sophisticated NYC party crowd to loosen up and twerk-it to the infectious jamz.
