Dj Grace Kelly – tropicalbeats/postcolonialbeats
Born in Bahia, Brazil and international in her endeavours. Grace Kelly landed in Berlin in 1996 and has since then contributed to the cross cultural dj scene of the city. Aligned with her urban and rural baggage, she started her music career as a rhythmist for Afoxe Loni, a carnival “block”, which opened the Karneval der Kulturen for several years in Berlin. Invited to play as Djane at Heimtklänge festival (Sounds of the Land), Grace has been welcomed as regular DJ at later editions of the festival.
Grace Kelly has since been invited to play at several theaters*, clubs** and festivals, such as Berlinale and Berliner Festspiele. Her party “Mundo Mix” has captivated an international public, in addition to her already loyal and multicultural berliner public. She made countless bodies shake around the world, having played in Greece, Indonesia, Great Britain, Italy, Marroco, Poland, Luxemburg, Brazil, Switzerland, Austria, Israel and more...
