Thomas Mayfield (a.k.a DJ Gargamel) began his DJ career in the early 90's while working in a record store in California. The Mentors he met there helped him develop a style that encompasses elements of a Hip Hop/Scratch DJ as well as an explosive party/club DJ. His influences include DJ legends such as Aladdin, Grand Master Flash, Mix-Master Tony G, QBert & Roc Raida, as well as highly acclaimed producers including Dr. Dre, Juan Atkins, Uncle Jamms Army, and Masters At Work.
Gargamel demonstrates his talents by using the turntable as his musical instrument, while also offering technical precision and a flawless style of mixing. As an accomplished musician, Gargamel also creates original compositions that illuminate his rhythmic creativity and imagination. His musical expertise extends into the realm of production as well.
