As a child growing up in Compton, Ca, in the early 90s, Scipio was first exposed to music through his grandmother, an avid listener of Blues and Motown. It was from her that he received his early education in music and years later as an adult he began building his own vinyl collection after inheriting hers. Though he had discovered djing early on, football was his first love and it wasn't until decades later as an adult that he began his DJ career first performing for friends and family at backyard parties and then later securing a residency at Rock's Cocktail Lounge.

Today Scipio continues to make a name for himself in L.A.'s club and bar scene with his signature mixture of Old School Hip Hop with Funk and Jazz that takes listeners on a musical journey. His motto is to play music that has a substance.

Scipio recently opened Hip Hop Anywhere, a mobile music entertainment and education service, which specializes in Dj instruction and also provides mobile dj service.
