Dekade (Lance Watson) Grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. Always a proponent of the alternative scene, he played bass guitar for several bands and promoted gigs through his 20's.

In 1997 he found the booming Cape Town club scene and quickly realised his love for breakbeat. After his first introduction to jungle at a Rob Playford set circa 1996, he was all-consumed and bought his first pair of turntables.

Cutting his teeth on Cape Town's pioneering Sublime collective, he worked his way into the lineups and became a regular DJ and promoter on the scene.

In 2002 he left the motherland, moved to London and his passion for jungle/drum & bass continued. He hosted 'The Efferent Music Show', promoted regular events, and was invited to play some cracking sets across the capital.

In 2011 he moved to Wellington, NZ, and has called it home since. He continues to record dj mixes at his home studio and is enthusiastically building on his music production.
