Found music as a release from an awkward childhood, I was very much a square peg in a round hole. I shouldn't have been a child.
Joined the school brass band playing timpani/kettle drums eventually moving across to clarinet then saxophone when my parents bought me one for Christmas. At home, I would be listening to the likes of The Groundhogs, Devo and Bert Kaempfert whilst my peers were into pop music.
After leaving school I joined a local band as they were reforming but their lack of ambition led to a final breakup. I went into a long hiatus until my second marriage and now produce tracks as time permits as I currently run 3 businesses including a film production company.
My musical tastes haven't really changed much over the years apart from being enhanced by new genres.
As far as being creative goes, I don't try to fit anyones box, I just go with the flow and see where we end up.
