Christopher Reis

Chris Reis aka DJ Poai is a Nuclear Engineering PhD from Trinidad and Tobago with lots of side projects.

DJ Poai (pronounced "poi") takes his moniker from his great grandfather, a working class Creole of early twentieth-century Trinidad with a lifelong passion for the annual cultural tradition known as Carnival, including mas, stick-fighting, etc. Though much of his origin and history—like the perhaps indigenous nickname "Poai" itself—are largely lost to time, his story lives on: passed orally from father to son, and carried in the blood, muscle, resilience, and willpower of his party-hardy progeny.
