Canta Brasil is a Radio show broadcasting out of San Jose, California and has been on the air since 1985 playing all genres of brasilian music. This is a site managed by all three of its DJ's - Larzinho, Maria Jose and John (Xuxu). You can get more about the show at www.cantabrasil.net

Xuxu and Maria Jose - Both my wife and I are "tropicalista" when it comes to our musical interests. Especially when it comes to brazilian music. We like to see how outside cultures and influences affect Brazil and how brazilian music affects other musics. But, we also like the folklore and traditional musics. We try and play a wide variety of styles and try to play stuff that you may not necessarily hear on other public radio shows or on brazilian radio.

Larzinho also will be contributing to this site. He is by his own self description a folclorista. He has an incredible collection of brazilian and world music and also does a world music show called "One World in One Hour".
