In episode two of the second season of Mixcloud Presents: The Inside Track, Mixcloud Co-Founder and CEO Nico Perez is joined by Alexander Nut.

Alexander Nut is a DJ, broadcaster, producer and Founder of the Eglo Records label. He was one of the founding residents of NTS Radio – a post he still holds. His record company has released music from the likes of Shy One, Steve Spacek, Fatima and Alex himself.

Rejecting strict genre boundaries, Alex’s DJ sets explore Hip-Hop, Soul, Jazz, House, Jungle, Broken Beat and more. He’s performed everywhere from We Out Here Festival to Giant Steps.

Alex discusses his early music journey, his love of sound system culture and the birth of Eglo Records. Later, he shares how he crafts specific relationships with the artists on the roster. Plus, he talks about the impact and legacy of London nightclub Plastic People and the lessons he’s taken from running a record label.
