We’re back for season two of our podcast series Mixcloud Presents: The Inside Track! Throughout our first season, Mixcloud Co-Founder and CEO Nico Perez heard from music industry experts about the inner workings of the music creator journey, with guests such as Charlie Bones, Elijah, Whitney Wei and Black Artist Database unearthing secrets they don’t tell you when you’re starting out. In the first episode of season two, Nico is joined by Jamz Supernova.

Jamz Supernova is a DJ, radio host, podcaster and record label head who hosts her self-titled radio show on BBC 6 Music. She also runs seminal leftfield music label Future Bounce, working in both an A&R and consulting capacity.

Jamz’s DJ sets contain an eclectic mix of Broken Beat, UK Funky, Bass, Techno and beyond. She’s played at festivals and clubs worldwide, including We Out Here Festival, Worldwide Sete, All Points East and more. She also hosts her own podcast, DIY Handbook & Between The Lines.

She discusses her journey from college to BBC Radio, the digital landscape of radio and her creative partnership with Bandcamp. Later, they discuss the mechanics of Jamz’s record label Future Bounce, parenthood and the evolution of UK club culture.
