Connect with anyone via Mixcloud’s Direct Messages

Talk endlessly with other users inside your new inbox using Mixcloud’s Direct Messages, which brings music lovers closer together.

Mixcloud's Direct Messages

Mixcloud is a space where music lovers from around the globe come together to enjoy music. We view Direct Messages (DMs) as a vital tool to help you form and strengthen your musical connections.

Whether you’re sending a mix to a friend or reaching out to your favourite DJ, your inbox keeps all those conversations going, in one place.

Since 2015, you’ve been able to leave messages on each other’s profiles for everyone to see. Now, our community is a lot larger than it was back then, so we thought it was only right that you have a space to connect one-on-one. You’ll be able to send those private messages on web and the mobile app.

We’re looking forward to the ways you’ll connect thanks to DMs. Over the years, we’ve heard stories about collaborations, friendships – even romantic relationships forming through comments and messages on Mixcloud.

DMs are another wave in a sea of changes, making Mixcloud a community-first platform. Your community may have already reached out. Check for messages by clicking the mail icon next to your notifications.

To start a conversation, head to any profile and click ‘Send Message.’

You’re in complete control of your DMs. You can turn them off at any time in your settings. If you receive an unwanted message, report it and our Support Team will handle it in line with our Usage Terms.
