As Pride Month draws to a close, we wanted to shift some focus to some of the amazing moments captured on our platform in honour of the occasion. We’ve teamed up with Nonchalant Magazine, which platforms queer women, non-binary individuals and allies of these communities, to do just that. Over the years, we’ve been blessed with mixes and radio shows of all kinds, so sit back and enjoy these selections from Nonchalant. Happy Pride Month!
Soho Radio – The Pride Hour 2025
Hosts Philip Baldwin and Clare Lynch give us a tender show for Soho Radio that highlights renewed attempts to impede on the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community in the UK in the present day. They respond with a declaration of allyship and music to soundtrack the education they give to listeners.
Defected Records – Pride Special Hosted by Rimarkable 28.06.24
Rimarkable brings the serious party vibes and Pride anthems in her 2024 special for Defected Records. Sharing the love with us, she plays tracks by Honey Dijon, Floorplan, Hardrive and tunes chosen by the Defected community. Nothing but feel good energy to put a smile on your face.
Melanie C – Happy Pride Mix
Did you know Mel C has a Mixcloud channel? You do now! The Spice Girl got us in our feels with a Pride mix steeped with joyous vibes. You can expect to hear some incredible remixes of tracks by the likes of Sugababes and Britney Spears, some red hot Techno and more to send you to the dance floor.
HOWL WORLDWIDE – 1-800-MAKE-ME-HOWL PRESENTS MARK-ASHLEY DUPÉ (JUNGLE KITTY)
HOWL WORLDWIDE is one of the rising queer parties around. Calling itself the ‘pleasure revolution,’ their every move is a tribute to the communities they represent. This smoldering mix by HOWL founder and resident Mark-Ashley Dupé AKA Jungle Kitty is a real foot mover. It’s dripping with edits and attitude!
Monki – Bestival Mix
By now, Monki is one of the most established and amazing DJs around. But rewind to 2012 and she was rising up the ranks. Even then, she had serious musical flavour and this mix for Bestival is proof. Super melodic and full of fun, Monki keeps us entertained with blends of House, Dubstep and Techno.
Michal Serr – The HADAP Mix
MeltingPot founder Michal Serr gave us some selections to remember in The HADAP Mix. Brimming with House flavours of all kinds, the mix transforms you to a dreamy musical universe packed with colour and excitement at every turn.
Queer House Party x Foundation FM Takeover
When two juggernauts link up, we have to listen! Queer House Party, which has thrown parties everywhere from Glastonbury to Soho House, joined forces with Foundation FM in 2017 for their birthday. In preparation, they let resident Wacha loose for a mix steeped in Baile R&B edits and bounce!
Dalston Superstore – Steve Fabus Live In 1994
Over in London, Dalston Superstore is an incredibly important part of the queer community, where they attend in droves to dance the night away. Everyone from The Blessed Madonna to the late Andrew Weatherall have played there. Dalston Superstore has empowered platforms like Queer Open Decks, which offers support and networking opportunities to the next generation of LGBTQIA+ DJs. They’ve also hosted the legendary Steve Fabus. In preparation for his set at DS’ Ripped party in 2012, he dug an incredible mix from his set at Does Your Mama Know in Hollywood, dating back to 1994. Tune in for some Disco treats!
Antony Angell – Gaydio 502
Newcastle-based Antony Angell represents Gaydio, a radio station for the LGBTQIA+ community up in the North of England. Over 500 shows deep, Angell provides a banger of a radio set for number 502, packed with club heaters.
Ben XO – London Pride
Representing Drum & Bass since 1998, Ben XO supplies a stomping selection for his weekly XPOSURE radio show on Bassdrive. This show has been running for over 20 years, which tells you everything you need to know about his dedication and music library! Tune in for the best D&B around, all in one place.
