Creating and maintaining a radio station involves many moving parts. Whether it’s securing hosts and DJs to front your content or finding a physical space, radio is the sum of the work of a community.
Mixcloud is dedicated to helping these communities along their journey and pushing their music and missions forward. In 2024, we released the Host Tagging feature, allowing one show to be published to multiple profiles.
We’re excited to announce that Host Tagging has been implemented by Radio Cult! The platform gives independent and community broadcasters the tools to start and manage their online radio station, including scheduling, playlist creation, chat rooms, analytics and much more.

It offers integration to Mixcloud, meaning your shows can seamlessly find a home on our platform. This means you are spared the time uploading to multiple platforms; Radio Cult takes care of it for you! Read this article to find out more.
Now, when uploading your shows to Mixcloud, Radio Cult enables you to utilize Host Tagging by selecting up to two hosts of the show, which then migrates to our platform so your hosts’ names and profiles appear front and center on your station page. As a result, creators will be given full credit for the work they put into radio stations across the globe.
