The Nephalim A.K.A. Ben Taylor has been listening to music from the age of around 9 from his first memory of the old skool hip hop from the likes of Big Daddy Kane, Roxanne Shante, Grand Master Flash, Was into the early electro days. Then his journey took a turn into what was known then as acid house or rave. Was quickly influenced into buying some decks to start his mixing talents. starting with what we called the moogas at the time, basically a set of dj disco decks all in one set up with no pitch control or mixer, the only way we could mix was to spin back the record which was playing on old record sleeves because we never knew what slipmats was lol as u can tell the records never lasted long, and drop the main fader hahaha was exiting times. Then came the intervention of his wonderfull mother Jennifer Taylor WHO had by this time had enough of the rubbish we was doing and decided to buy him a set of technics 1210s, now we get there. From there he never looked back so thats my story.
