A true product of the 1980's, A R O grew up in Alaska & Washington state listening to chords from new-wave synthesizers and keytars. Strongly involved in music throughout his life, he was influenced both by his father's taste for Alan Parsons Project, Electric Light Orchestra, Talking Heads, and Gary Numan's latest catchy video on MTV. He enjoyed playing several instruments in the school band, and composing big band jazz arrangements in his head before his friend introduced him to Prodigy's Fat of the Land album in 1997. The seed of electronica had been planted, but it would be another 3 years before meeting another friend that would introduce him to the wonderful new world of dance clubs in the Hongdae region of Seoul. As a bedroom DJ for the past 10 years, his varied musical tastes can briefly be described as "anything with a good bass line."
