January 1977 as Punk played from the airwaves Andrew was fortunate to be fostered by his maternal Gran who brought him and his brother Tommy up, along with his departed mother''s brother's and sister's.
A family who all loved different styles of music,this clearly had a major influence on the young Andrew and his music knowledge and taste was way beyond his years, Dylan The Beatles and The Stones as well as punk and new wave in one hand and glam rock like Bowie,Lou Reed The Velvet Underground The Doors and Iggy Pop as well as TRex and Slade and classic 60's singer songwriters on the other.
Mixed in with Frank Zappa Genesis Hawkwind Peter Gabriel John Martyn and a love for Irish and Scottish music never a day passed that the young Andrew had some new vinyl to listen to and appreciate.All these influences from his elders had a great influence on his own ideas about music and has stayed with him from those early years when he could rhyme off anything and everything about any artist
