Leeds, United Kingdom
Now retired, I spent my full time working life chiefly as a design engineer and layout draughtsman. During the 1960s I played bass guitar semi-professionally with a Leeds band by the name of The Cruisers. We progressed from playing Working Mens Clubs to venues such as some West Yorkshire Town Halls and a number of great gigs at Leeds University where we got to share a stage for the evening with some bigger names of the time. I have renewed regular contact with three of my former band mates in recent times and within the past year we have rehearsed some of our former late '50s/'60s material to see where that might take us. For reasons that I needn't expand on I am now on rhythm guitar which, after 50 years or so, is proving to be a learning curve.
A musical interest which arose in the '60s, through bands such as John Mayall and early Fleetwood Mac, is blues.
I have sporting interests centering around Leeds Rhinos Rugby League club and also an interest in Yorkshire and England cricket.
