aktivate is a Bahrain-based underground music DJ, and the founder of Techno Bahrain and Techno Mumbai.

His love for music began at a very early age, and has been always drawn to music that isn’t mainstream.

aktivate has performed in various locations including Amsterdam, Manama, Mumbai and Goa, alongside notable techno DJs like Charlotte de Witte and Steve Bicknell, to name a few.

aktivate draws inspiration from a wide range of artists and sounds from minimal house to different shades of techno. Some of his influences are Amotik, Ben Klock, Ellen Allien, Gregor Tresher, Kerri Chandler, Palms Trax, Sven Väth, Rod, Richie Hawtin, and Speedy J, to name a few.

His sound is energetic, and he works hard towards creating sets that explore different ranges of emotions. Balancing between melancholy, exuberance, and joy while telling a story, aktivate offers a unique listening experience.
