I began to listen to dance music at the age of 13. While I do mix and love being "in the mix", I am in a lot of agreement with DJ's of old such as David Mancuso (who really didn't like to mix songs). Like Mancuso, I like to play songs in most of their entirety. You never know what part of a song is a persons "jam". I also like to play a track around (+/ -) 1 % of the song's original pitch. I believe the artist made the track just how it should already sound.

I believe cutting a song too short or playing it too far off pitch is often a disservice to the song itself. The song comes first, the mix second. The vibe takes care of itself.

Most importantly, I try and play music i personally like. Music that has in some way attached itself to my heart and soul. These are the vibes I enjoy sharing and the messages I try to carry and convey.
