Once upon a time...Back in the day when Internet radio all came about, I had the extraordinary opportunity to produce a radio show with some buddies of mine called the I.S.R.N. (internet signal radio network) It was for the most part a continuing project, with sample based creations, and turntable cheffery. One show was "Cultural oddities" A mix of international daily news, local happenings, and people all mixed into track samples, and driving if not melodic beats, often looping into themselves.
The station, Long since disbanded, (we were on air for roughly ten years) I continue when I can mashing music together and re-editing old mixes and tweaking them. Making mixes, and just playing with sound.
I suppose it all started with making mixtapes for friends.
I loved mixtapes..making them was an art unto itself indeed.
