Growing up in Chicago (Chi-town), a very rich and diverse cultural city, I was exposed to various genres of music at a very early age.
The sounds of Motown, Afro-Latin, Blues, Jazz and Native tongues filled my home.
I can recall the immense look of joy upon my Algerian grandmother's face as she would clean the house from top to bottom listening to her favorite 70s Rock station early Saturday mornings.
Watching my parents dance the night away during the Disco era, a teenager during the advent of rap and witnessing the birth of "House Music," it seemed only natural that I cultivate all these beautiful sounds by learning to spin and emit these "Positive Vibes" back out into the world.
If my music touches the soul of just one person to reminisce on a great time in their life or get up and dance or just smile that's the feeling of joy and happiness that I love to give back to the world through the power of music and why I became a DJ.
