Listening History

Surrey, United Kingdom
Influenced by early Chicago and UK house from 89 onwards. My origins are with vinyl with my oldest record being 'Funkadelica - one nation under a groove' which was released in 1978. I picked this up at a market stall in Petticote Lane at the age of 8 for a fiver, As soon as i started earning money I spent most of my time at places like Bluebird Records, Bromley and Swag records, West Croydon and over 7 years built up a collection of about 2500 records with the most predominant being Strictly Rhythm, Azuli and Nervous labels. My mixing influences came from listening to the likes of Paul Trouble Anderson, Frankie Knuckles and Joey Negro. The US scene still does it for me and most of my selections are taken from Defected, Toolroom Records, Bar Grooves and Hed Kandi collections. This digital shit is the nuts, Pioneer have made a mark i can only compare to that of the 1210's, Forget the auto bpm, its all about the ability to bring any track into the mix from your collection in seconds.
