Patrick Guth, better known as Patrick Callizto was born to German parents Christina and Bernd G. in Rendsburg, Germany. He grew up enjoying, along with his brother Marcel, a "very happy" childhood during which they, according to his parents, "were pretty much left to do what they wanted." He "liked growing up there, being free to create music".
According to musician Klaus Schulze (one of his biggest influences as a child), Patrick started producing music at the age of ~12. As a teenager he was a disc jockey at the Recall in Rendsburg. Patrick studies chemistry at the WWU Münster. Talking about his private studies, Patrick has said that "music and electronics went hand in hand." However, he often has his headphones on during practical lessons, "no doubt thinking through the mixes he'd be working on later".
