Nearly Not Really is an extended community of musicians and creatives. Back in 2013/2014, A group of musicians hailing originally from Sudbury, Suffolk (including Stretch Soul Gang, Kim Roman, Sergio Selva and Steven Bamidele, among others) thought it would be a cool idea to have a name that represented them all; something to unify them and to be proud of. They all collaborated and supported each other already, and putting a name to that seemed exciting. This never officially materialised until 2022, when Kim Roman (real name Elliott Buckle) and Steven Bamidele, ended up both moving to Walthamstow and rehashing the idea of some sort of collective. Only now, the idea is a bit more grandiose - NNR will be hosting shows, podcasts and, making DJ mixes (hence the Mixcloud). Do we have any clue what we're doing? Nearly... not really.
