A documentary sparked the creation of “Last Stop on the 4 Train,” by Thomas Simmons and John Robinson. An art installation honoring Woodlawn Cemetery — the end of the 4 train line in the Bronx, New York, final resting place. Among the many legendary jazz musicians whose significant contributions have helped shape the genre’s rich and complex history are such greats as Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Jackie McLean, Max Roach, Clark Terry, and Milt Jackson, but countless others also played a vital role in the development of jazz. My journey will feature timeless classics alongside undiscovered gems and bold new artists who embody the vibrant energy of music.
