Raised in Frankfurt, José aka Soniq belonged since the beginning of the 90s to the first generation of Breakbeat Jungle Drum&Bass DJs & Promoters in Germany. Co-Founder of RUFFM, Germany´s first Drum&Bass Radioshow and hoster for more than 10 years of his own "FutureJazzSessions" show at RadioX where he represented the more soulful side of Drum&Bass. Together with DJ & Producer Kuttin Edge, as well as MC Mike Romeo and Victor, they formed the Solid Soul Crew organizing events with artists like Marcus Intalex, Calibre, Peshay, Flight, Bailey, Artificial Intelligence, Blue Sonix...
