Girlz B Like [GBL] is a London-based, female-led, all-vinyl DJ (interchanging) collective and grassroots club movement, redefining underground sounds. Founded by seasoned DJ and broadcaster Marcia Carr (aka Marcia DaVinylMC), GBL was born from a desire to challenge the male-dominated club scene to provide space for women to play the music they love.
Since 2022, GBL has taken over GROW, Hackney Wick with numerous vibrant sessions featuring Marcia + friends, celebrating vinyl record culture, and the deep roots of Black music - from Boogie, House, Gospel and Broken Beat to Jazz-Funk, Disco, Soul, Hi Life, Brasilia and beyond.
A decade strong in 2025, GBL stands for unity, creativity, and authenticity - empowering women and amplifying soulful, groove-driven sounds.
