JPratt, got my start in 1997. The love for djing started long before then. First time actually hearing and seeing it in person when my cousin use to do it in the basement of his mothers hosue. Hearing songs that I liked being played on a rotating platter. The sound known as a "transformer" scratch coming from the speakers pretty much set things off. The love grew from there. I would continue to ask my parents to buy me one of those dj "starter kits" that use to be in the add pages of popular rap mags back then, but no luck.
So fast forward to 1997, finally got a set of tables. Partnered up with my homie Kevin Beacham and got into the swing of things. Took a long hiatus in 2001 after djing for a band called B-Movie Fiends. The band decided to part ways, and I felt as If I it was time for me to take a break. That break lasted way to long!! Now back in the saddle after that hiatus, trying to continue where I left off. And bring the people something they can bang their heads to..
