DjPembe’s love for music stemmed at a young age. A close friend and mentor taught him how to DJ and the art of mixing. For the past 15 years, he has been working on perfecting this craft, developing his ear for music and ability to read the crowd. The opportunity to make people move drives him!
He’s been able to come into his own style through performing at small parties and special events; such as weddings, charities, corporate functions and some local nightclubs. Dj’ing also lead him to discover his passion for hosting and MC’ing, in which he’s been a part of a local university radio show that aired weekly and MC’d other events such as art exhibitions, fashion shows and corporate events.
