Having started life as a Mod back in the 80’s I stuck with this scene for a few years then really got into northern Soul. This lead to some fantastic nights in Loughborough, Leicester, and Peterborough as well as the scooter rallies amongst other locations. I was fortunate enough to know one of the leading DJ of that time Tony Clayton who was so enthusiastic about soul music that he inspired me to look a little harder for those elusive records. I have always been a fan of crossover soul and there is only one boss in Soul music; Jackie Wilson, who will never be bested in my opinion.
I am now open to most strains of soul and always keep an open mind when I’m out and about. I love Eddie Pillar as he has fun doing what he does best, and needs big respect for Acid Jazz records. I dabble myself in Soul Djing and work with one of my oldest friend Neil Carter and go by the name of "King Cole Rhythm & Soul".
