Brought up in Clapton, along with an older brother and younger sister, listening to music around the time in the 70's was always diverse & sometimes confusing, with influences from parents listening to artists like Ben.E.King, Elvis Presley, The Pointer Sisters, Percy Sledge, Sister Sledge, The Jones Girls & The Jacksons from the time as well as other prominent artists from major record labels such as Motown, Arista, Champion, EMI, 4th & Broadway & Streetsoundz amongst others and with the influence of an elder brother having a sound system playing reggae music at parties, in places that as a small child, were enviable times to not physically be a part of - therefore, listening to Tony Monson, Greg Edwards, Tony Blackburn and the likes of Robbie Vincent and the late Steve Walsh on various pirate stations such as Invicta, JFM, LWR & then legal radio that finally got the message....
