DJ MassTransit
Having two CPS Music Teachers as parents and a brother majoring in bass helped expose DJ MassTransit (aka. Chris Nergaard) to many styles of music in a very diverse environment since an early age. Through studying Sociology and Afro-American Studies (with a Senior Thesis on African-American music at the University of Wisconsin-Madison) DJ MassTransit developed his deep understanding of music’s powerful and emotionally proactive historical significance.
His craftiness, unbridled passion and sharp eye for detail evolved into a unique flexibility mixing with emotion and connecting with diverse audiences worldwide. MassTransit musical palette is inclusive of the wide variety of music in all of its forms—from classic 70’s soul and funk to deep disco, house, boogie, samba, salsa, hip-hop and beyond.
