Christian Rhein started djing at The Tumult, a famous underground youth center nearby Amsterdam In 1991. At that time he mainly played Detroit Techno, Break Beats and Club House by the name of Tomba.
He became more interested in europeanTechno music in 1994. Since that time his dj sets became more focussed on rhythm instead of strings and warm sounds.
Christian Rhein started to play Drum & Bass with MC P-Pholl beside him In 1996. DJ Chistalclear was born. Around the same period he began mixing CHILL-OUT music for the more relaxing moments. He mixed Trip-Hop with Lounge and DUB in his sets. Later he added some more Latin sounds to his chill sessions.
At the moment he plays Dance music, House and Techno, by his own name Christian-Rhein. He uses the name DJChristalclear for all other music he plays in his Drum & Bass en CHILL-OUT sets.
