Bugalu Aye grew up on 'Streetsounds' cassettes, early electro and then embraced the 'Daisyage' of conscious Hip Hop. Later becoming a Jungalist and narcotic enthusiast. A late 90's bar culture DJ, known then as Deckster, he spun in every corner of London often appearing uncredited with his erstwhile Dj partner Trevor Mango alongside giants such as Fabio and Grooverider, Jumping Jack Frost, Mr Scruff, Patrick Forge and more...

From pirate radio, to the beat bar Portobello, from 333 Old st to Soho, New York City. Deckster quit Djing in the early 2000's after briefly heralding the Reggaeton scene as 'Joe Cola'. Subsequent trips to Cuba led him to take up Afro Cuban percussion and he began gigging in many venues where before he had been djing. Takilo, Les Hommes, Longtall Steve and the tiny dancers.

He continues to fuck with all kinds of music in his subterranean laboratory as a student, artist and producer. x
