BlueLotusGallery

Hong Kong

The objective of the gallery is to maintain an intriguing program investigating Hong Kong's cultural identity through the medium of photography and works on paper.

Currently Blue Lotus is one of Hong Kong's leading galleries representing some of Hong Kong's most prominent photographers such as Ho Fan and Michael Wolf. The gallery has been instrumental to debuting artist's careers such as KC Kwan and Romain Jacquet-Lagreze.

From 2007 to 2012 Blue Lotus operated from a 1500 square foot industrial space located in Fo Tan. Since the start, the gallery has been an active supporter of the local emerging and established Hong Kong art scene. The gallery has hosted some of Hong Kong's leading artists first solo shows such as Koon Wai Bong, Lee Kit, Sarah Lai, Trevor Yeung and Casper Chan. Between 2012 and 2015, Blue Lotus collaborated with Asia One (publishers of many fine photobooks) through the pop-up experiment: 'AO Vertical Art Space'. The focus shifted to photography.
