New York’s own Zenon Kraufmite is Dj of many tempos. Putting work in behind the decks since 1979 he focused on Disco and House, although he has been a lifelong Freestyle fan. Honing his technique, he started to branch out and focus his trained ear on house – tearing through both mainstream and underground sounds, which found him spinning throughout the Tri-State. These efforts landed him Downstairs NYC & the Tunnel, where he spent almost 4 years providing the best in dance & freestyle to clubbers from New York to New Jersey, as well as a dedicated internet following in Asia. Zenon Kraufmite pioneered the technique of the “Mash-Up” in 1981.
