The famous Renaissance Series were the ignition of a musical journey for Yvo J. Around 2000 the first Renaissance ‘The Masters Series’ were released with icons like Dave Seaman, James Zabiela, John Digweed, Sasha, Nick Warren and Hernán Cattáneo. Yvo J is devoted to Progressive House with some outings to Deep and Tech House. He loves to play longer sets, taking his crowd on a musical trip with melodic, deep but always energetic tracks. Renowned labels like Sudbeat, Replug, Proton, Anjunadeep, Lost & Found, Movement Recordings and The Soundgarden to name a few, are often heard in Yvo J’s performances.
Since January 2019, every month a Colonia episode is filled to the brim with the latest and best Progressive House music, merged into a fresh mix available on Soundcloud & Mixcloud. By spinning the decks at live events & clubs, is where Yvo J come into its own. In 2020 plans became reality with the first self-organised and crowded ‘&FRIENDS’ dance events.
