I started DJing vinyl in 2001. Progressive (Big Room) House, other varieties of house, including tribal, breakbeats and psytrance. I then progressed to DJing on CDJ 100s and CDJ 200s. Then I stopped in 2013. I returned to DJing in 2018 for 1 gig. It was file-based on CDJ 2000 NXS2 decks. Very fun. Rekordbox was not fun for me to prep my records. I had recorded about 170 vinyls to CD, then CD to file. Then manual metadata entry. it took some effort and time, but I pulled it off successfully. I love Psytrance the most. I've played numerous undergrounds and clubs during my tenure. I also had the honor of spinning at Shambhala in BC Canada and Burning Man.
Maybe someday I will make a comeback.
