For the past 3 years Zai has been progressing in the dj scene, beginning with mixes streaming from his bedroom to playing parties at La Maison Rouge and clubs the likes of The Fly in the heart of Toronto.
He finds most of this inspiration from Toronto's underground scene where he caught the dj bug. His biggest influence comes from the likes of Carlo Lio, Dubfire and The Junkies, to name a few, all of which are often found within his mixes.
Zai's music has evolved over the years, beginning with techno and electro influenced progressive house to what he has dubbed "ethnic tech house" and "dirty tech". He has recently experienced an evolved love for deep house sounds so look to find a fusion of these genres in mixes to come as Zai continues to develop his own flavour.
