Griot, the brainchild of DJ/Producer Vinod Bakshi involves storytelling by way of music and taking people on a structural musical voyage with his sounds and sets. Spinning since 1995, Griot has seen the scene grow and been responsible for promoting underground music in India for over two decades.
With an ear for old as well as new sounds and skills that cut across genres varying from Tribal House to Nu Disco to Deep Techno, Griot believes in keeping the past alive and building the future by way of telling stories through sounds. Griot’s style and sounds are influenced by the likes of Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Guy J, Dave Seaman, Satoshi Tomiie, Maceo Plex, Marco Bailey, Yousef, Deep Dish and other legends and a lot of upcoming creative artists.
